Mr. Burke's primary responsibilities include assisting in the portfolio management of the private investments, hedge fund due diligence, and working closely with investment advisory relationships. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Burke was employed at GenSpring Family Offices and Wells Fargo Family Wealth (formerly Calibre Investment Consulting), where he managed portfolios and conducted traditional and alternative manager due diligence. Mr. Burke has also served as a financial planner for high net worth individuals at Asset Management Group and he was employed at Fidelity Investments in Boston, where his responsibilities were competitive analysis and research on the mutual fund industry. Mr. Burke received his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University and his MBA from the Fuqua School at Duke University. Mr. Burke has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
Michael P. Hennen, CFA

Mr. Hennen is a portfolio manager for the Hatteras Alternative Mutual Funds. His primary responsibilities include asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager research. Previous to his current role, Mr. Hennen was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley in the Graystone Research Group, an alternative investments advisory group within Morgan Stanley, where he led the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and monitoring of alternative investments across a variety of strategies. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Hennen was an Analyst at Morningstar in Chicago. Mr. Hennen received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Western Michigan University. Mr. Hennen has also earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Kristina Labermeier

Ms. Labermeier's primary responsibilities include support of portfolio and risk management, support of manager research, and due diligence. Prior to joining Hatteras, Ms. Labermeier was the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Alternative Investment Partners, LLC, a mutual fund advisor that specialized in alternatives. She was also the Chief Compliance Officer of the funds within the AIP Alternative Strategies Funds Trust and the Underlying Funds Trust. Prior to joining Alternative Investment Partners, Ms. Labermeier was a compliance officer at U.S. Bancorp Fund Services, LLC, where she serviced multiple mutual fund clients. Ms. Labermeier received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Winona State University.
Robert J. Murphy, CFA, FRM, CAIA

Mr. Murphy is a portfolio manager for the Hatteras Alternative Mutual Funds. His primary responsibilities include asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management. Previously, he was with Ivy Asset Management Corp. LLC , a division of BNY Mellon Asset Management, where he served as a Managing Director in the Investments Group and in the Investment Products and Strategy Group. At Ivy, Mr. Murphy was responsible for investment research and assisted with product development and portfolio management. Prior to joining Ivy in 2008, Mr. Murphy was a Partner and Director of Risk Management at Meridian Capital Partners, where he worked in various senior capacities since 2001. Previously, Mr. Murphy held senior fixed income investment banking positions with A.G. Edwards, Cowen & Company, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. Mr. Murphy received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the State University of New York at Albany. He earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has also earned designations as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
Josh E. Parrott, CAIA

Mr. Parrott's primary responsibilities include portfolio management of public investments, hedge fund due diligence, and working closely with investment advisory relationships. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Parrott was employed at Dialectic Capital in New York, where he assisted in portfolio analysis and the launch of a long/short equity hedge fund. Prior to Dialectic, Mr. Parrott was employed by Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns as a Financial Advisor for high net worth individuals. Mr. Parrott received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont and attended international schools in Zimbabwe and Kenya. Mr. Parrott has also earned his designation as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
R. Ty Powers, CFA

Mr. Power's primary responsibilities include portfolio management for the Hatteras Alternative Mutual Funds including hedge fund sourcing, research, and due diligence. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Powers was a senior analyst at Brightleaf Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund. His responsibilities at Brightleaf included fundamental security analysis, financial modeling, and stock selection. Mr. Powers previously worked at BB&T Capital Markets as an Equity Research Analyst covering the specialty finance sector. He also spent several years at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, most recently as Vice President in the firm's High Net Worth Private Client Division. Mr. Powers received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University and his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Investment Management from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Powers has also earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Thomas Riegert, CFA

Mr. Riegert's primary responsibilities include support of portfolio and risk management, support of manager research and due diligence for the Hatteras Alternative Mutual Funds. Prior to joining Hatteras, Mr. Riegert was an Investment Manager and Assistant Vice President in Wealth Management at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, NC. Previously, Mr. Riegert held positions at Evergreen Investments including Associate Portfolio Manager and Quantitative Research Analyst. Mr. Riegert received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Ohio University. Mr. Riegert has also earned his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Whitney A. Rowe

Ms. Rowe focuses on private investments for the Hatteras Funds. Prior to joining Hatteras Funds and while earning her Master of Business Administration, Ms. Rowe was an associate for Triangle Capital Corporation, a business development company focused on providing mezzanine financing to lower middle market companies. Ms. Rowe has also held the positions of International Product Manager and Designer for video game publisher and developer Ubisoft in both Paris, France, and Cary, North Carolina. Ms. Rowe received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from George Washington University and her Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to joining Hatteras in 2009, Mr. Schultheis organized AIP Mutual Funds in 2002 and was the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Managing Member of the Advisor. Prior to that, Mr. Schultheis was Chief Operating Officer of Kinetics Asset Management, Inc. and President of Kinetics Funds Distributor, Inc. Mr. Schultheis has more than 20 years of investment industry experience including the mutual fund programs at Chase Manhattan Bank and U.S. Trust Company of New York. Mr. Schultheis received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
